Land Development Code Information Discussed at October 23 HNA Meeting

Attached is the land development code information discussed at the Oct 23 Hancock Neighborhood Ass'n. mtg. This electronic version was requested by many attendees due to the limited number of paper handouts available. Please share with friends interested in the future of the neighborhood.

The attachment provides important information including:

  • map of Hancock showing the proposed neighborhood-wide rezoning
  • proposed code designations for each property
  • schematic drawings showing existing single family housing (SF3) juxtaposed against multi-unit housing to be allowed under new zoning code RM1, and new sizes and setbacks allowed for duplexes under new zoning code R2B
  • information about new occupancy limits, group housing (sorority/fraternity houses, dormitories, residence halls, more) and where in the neighborhood the latter will be allowed
  • parking and heritage tree information
  • Hancock Neighborhood’s Consensus position on the Code agreed to by the meeting attendees.

If you are interested in protesting the rezoning of your property under the proposed code, go to FileYourProtest.com, fill out the electronic form and send it in by Dec 5, 2019.
