I am writing on behalf of the Hancock Neighborhood Association, which represents the
residents of the neighborhood where you have a rental home at 4007
Duval. The Association welcomes you to the neighborhood and invites you to attend our
neighborhood meetings and/or be in touch with us if you have questions. We would also
like your renters to know there is a neighborhood association which can help answer
questions or in other ways be of assistance. The website is www.hancockna.org
There are certain city ordinances which the Association makes certain homeowners take
seriously, one of those is the Short-Term rental ordinance. The permit activity at 4007
Duval shows there has been a renovation of an accessory building. We hope the City has
informed you that an accessory building, unlike an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), may
not be used as a dwelling unit, which includes use as a short -term rental.
