Zoning Committee Minutes: May 4, 2015 1) Meeting called to order ­ 6:57 pm 2) Discussed a Procedure regarding permits issued by COA: ZC voted 6-0 on the following procedures a. HNA Executive Officers- Scan every notice and send to Zoning Committee. b. Refer all COA permit concerns from HNA residents to the Zoning Committee. c. Review of permits must be scheduled on the Zoning Committee agenda d. ZC members task the HNA Executive Officers to activate the Historic Committee with new members. Demolition permit review is appropriate for the HC committee. e. The HNA President will notify the ZC members if they are needed to speak at COA meetings regarding recommendations. f. ZC members will notify the Executive Officers if the ZC has an issue that warrants speaking to the COA regarding a recommendation. 3) Discussed and reviewed a handout presented by ZC member Bender regarding the Duplex category and the need for a Land Development change in the Code Next process. ZC members voted 6-0 to make recommendation to the Executive Officers and the HNA membership to disallow duplexes the SF3 category. ZC members acknowledged the only intervention for the halting duplex building is by changing the language in the Land development Code. 4) Neighborhood Communication: HNA Secretary reported that the COA staff met with the designer and are reviewing the construction on 3205 Liberty with the designer to modify the design. A modification plan to bring the FAR in compliance is under review. The 3206 Beanna project has been permitted by the COA. Shilho Travis is the builder. He will inform and update ZC on the site construction progress. 5) Adjourn: 8:09PM
