SENT BY EMAIL February 15, 2013 To: Greg Guernsey, Director John McDonald Planning and Development Review Department

I am writing on behalf of the Hancock Neighborhood Association (HNA) to request that the following neighborhood associations be listed as an Interested Party to the proposed three duplex buildings to be constructed across from Lee Elementary School at 718, 720, and 722 Harris Avenue and receive all pertaining notices: Hyde Park Neighborhood Association, Presidents John Williams and Ashley Schweickart Eastwoods Neighborhood Association, President Lin Team North University Neighborhood Association, Michael Riley The properties fall within the boundaries of the Hancock Neighborhood Association, but Lee Elementary School serves the children and families of the four neighborhoods. The neighborhoods have collectively requested a safety study given the capacity of each duplex to house six unrelated individuals and eighteen parking spaces accessed from a single-entrance, dead-end public alley. The safety of our children walking and biking to school, as well as bus pick up and drop off, is a shared concern and HNA requests that all four neighborhood associations are recognized as interested parties in the process of City of Austin review of this proposed development. I look forward to your response.
